One of the biggest advantages of owning Investment Real Estate is the ability to defer taxes at the time of its sale by using a §1031 Tax Deferred Exchange. If you create a “pay” account after you have either completed the first leg your §1031 Tax Deferred Exchange or the entire transaction, Defer’em will reference the line items from your completed HUD-1 or closing statement, prompt you for previous tax information and provide you with a completed Form 8824.
